One More Lawn

Mow lawns in first person on a beat-up riding mower. You're a grumpy old man who smokes, drinks cheap beer and doesn't care, but leaves perfect stripes. A picky neighbor, an abandoned golf course, an island wedding. Solo or online co-op with up to 6 players.

Free demo on October 26. Play the front yard and Elvira's entire backyard, solo or online with up to 5 friends (the map editor and the Steam Workshop come with the full game). Your save carries over to the full game on November 12.

It's Saturday, 5:42 PM. The mower won't start, the beer is warm, and nobody has cut this grass in weeks.

An old man, an old mower

You're not here to relax. You're here to get it done, your way. Hold the key until the engine finally coughs to life, light a cigarette, crack a can and reach over to switch on the radio strapped to the hood. One hand on the wheel, the other one busy.

The most satisfying cut

Tall, thick, wind-blown grass that falls blade by blade under the deck. A sharp edge on every pass, clippings flying out of the chute, and stripes that follow the way you drive. When you're done, watch the whole job again as a timelapse.

Get off and finish the job

The mower can't reach everything. Climb down, grab the string trimmer and clean up along the fence, and around that one garden gnome. Out of gas? Walk to the gas can. Nobody's bringing it to you.

One more lawn

Start with your own front yard. Then the neighbors start calling. Elvira pays well, and she's picky: every blade cut, five centimeters, not one more, and nothing broken. Especially not her gnome. When you're done, she writes you a receipt. With comments.

Then, the golf course

Rubén wants the old Los Teros club back in shape: greens, fairways and tees, each at its own height. Between passes, play a couple of holes, fish the lost balls out of the pond, rake the bunkers, and pull the handbrake on the wet parking lot to see if a riding mower can drift. It can.

And then, an island

Marcela's niece is getting married on Saturday. 120 barefoot guests, no second takes. Load the mower onto an old ferry, cross the lake and mow the whole island. Drive into the water and the engine drowns (you can push it out). Also: a boat, a fishing rod, a hammock, coconuts and a beach bar.

Bring friends. Or don't.

Online co-op for up to 6 players, each on their own mower, all on the same lawn. Join with a Steam invite or a 6-digit code. Proximity voice chat, everyone's radio playing from their own hood, and plenty of ways to get nothing done: wave, point, dance, throw fruit at each other's heads, or punch a friend in the face. No damage. Just dizziness.

Take a break. Or don't.

Fire up the barbecue in Elvira's yard and keep an eye on the smoke while you mow. Toss your empties into the bin from the mower seat. Juggle the fruit from the table. Have a few too many and watch the stripes get creative.

Make your own lawns

A built-in map editor: paint grass, sand, dirt and paths, dig ponds, raise hills, plant trees, put up fences and place as many gnomes as you dare. Hit Test Drive and mow it. Share your maps on the Steam Workshop and play the ones other people make.

Features

  • A first-person riding mower with a steering wheel you can see turn and a mechanical dashboard: hold-to-start key, blade switch, deck-height lever, lights, fuel gauge and a radio.
  • Dense, living grass that reacts to the wind, the wheels and the blades. Real stripes, clean edges, flying clippings.
  • Four jobs: your front yard, Elvira's backyard, Rubén's golf course and Marcela's island. Each client judges your work, and each one has opinions.
  • Get off the mower: string trimmer, gas can, rake, golf clubs, fishing rod, boat. You can even swim.
  • Online co-op for up to 6 players with proximity voice chat.
  • Gestures and dances, fruit throwing and punches between friends.
  • Map editor with Steam Workshop support.
  • Bring your own music: load audio files from your PC into the tractor's radio. Optionally share the sound live with friends in your session (only music you have the rights to share). Files are never uploaded or sent. Streamer Mode turns it off.
  • Steering wheel and pedals with force feedback, gamepad, or mouse and keyboard.
  • 22 languages.
  • He smokes, drinks, coughs and complains. He doesn't care. He's still the best at this.

Streamers: the built-in radio music is free to use in streams and videos, including monetized ones. Music loaded by players (yours or your friends') is not: turn on Streamer Mode to block it.
