Surviving the night as a kid was always tough. If you had a nightmare, it was hard to go back to sleep. If you heard a noise, you would start to come up with the most irrational reason for the sound. However, in this case, your theories may seem less far out.
Fear of the dark is not only just what you may find, but the dark itself is after you. When you wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and you have to rush back to your room before the monster gets you is actually a good idea given the fact that there is actually something chasing you this time!
There are a lot of things you can do to survive against the night such as trying to hide from the monsters by keeping the door closed and the lights on all hours of the night. Let's not forget about beacon of hope and protection that could bring ease to any night, leaving TV on.
Choose your own survival style. Gung-ho rushing into the dark to defeat the monsters. Or camping in one room until the monsters decide to come to you. The choice is yours. No matter your style choice you will still have to confront your fears one way or another. Think of it as a rematch of your childhood nighttime irrationals with endless tries to confront the problem.
Just be on the lookout and think like a kid if you want to make it through the night in one piece.
